Our client manages a 10-year, $1 billion+ Cleanup Contract for the U.S. Department of Energy/ Office of Environmental Management. They are dedicated to making a lasting impact on environmental management, and we are looking for exceptional individuals to join them and help grow their career.
They are hiring an experienced Lead Planner/Scheduler to join the Program Management Office. Their primary responsibility will be to provide detailed planning and scheduling support for projects, ensuring successful execution from conceptual planning through engineering and construction. They will support scheduling and cost analysis for the execution and implementation of the company project and all compliance requirements.
This is a remote position that requires quarterly travel to the project site in the Southwest.
This position REQUIRES direct experience working on a DOE EM FAR-based Tier 1 level contract or other DOE experience within the past 24 months.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the Project Management & Project Controls staff.
- Proficiency in using scheduling tools, particularly Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts and knowledge to develop and maintain critical path logic networks.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) requirements.
- Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules, encompassing activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long-lead procurement items, and other project deliverables.
- Create schedule logic and realistic activity durations based on comprehensive analysis.
- Analyze available manpower and resources, commodity charts, trends, schedule variations, schedule performance, and forecast.
- Assess the impact of design & regulatory changes and schedule slippages, keeping stakeholders informed through regular updates.
- Accumulate and access historical data for future planning and forecasting.
- Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of project control problems.
- Interface with clients and attend regular meetings as needed.
