Reporting to the President, the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) will set and oversee the execution of the strategy required for our Global Financial client to scale its impact. The ideal candidate will ensure that these specialized areas will work seamlessly to offer comprehensive and coordinated services to our clients and our partners.
The ideal candidate will also coordinate with the other functional areas within the organization to ensure a high-performing organization that delivers on the vision that it seeks to achieve. The new CSO will manage a highly talented and passionate team and ensure coordination, collaboration, and effective communication between departments in a fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial context. S/he will promote and facilitate strategic conversations aimed at strengthening information sharing, organizational learning, and continuous improvement around impact, while maintaining alignment with client needs and compliance with relevant government regulation. The CSO will serve as a key external representative to diverse partners, articulating the company mission, vision, values, and objectives and in collaboration with the Chief Engagement Officer, will build effective and mutually beneficial partnerships.
The Chief Strategy Officer will be a seasoned leader and manager with a proven record of success in building and scaling innovative organizations, leading highly effective and talented teams, and driving strategy and planning across complex programs. S/he will naturally thrive in fast-paced environments, be an excellent communicator and manager, and have extensive experience successfully building relationships across government, nonprofit, and corporate sectors. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the policy change process and bring a well-developed ability to use evidence, outcomes, and research to inform strategy. S/he will have a strong personal commitment to the company mission to transform the way services are delivered to those in need, and the flexibility to evolve along with the organization as it plans for a new era of expansion and impact.
Core Duties:
- Establishes the vision and drives the market forward through motivating peers and subordinate managers to institute changes as needed
- Responsible for strategic planning, strategic management and assuring linkage between the Long Range Financial Plan and service area strategic plan
- Coordinates and drives the service area annual strategic planning process
- Manages ongoing implementation of the service area strategic plan and ensures management decisions align with successful plan implementation
- Promotes corporation and ensures positive stakeholder relations
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (or equivalent experience and education)
- Ten years of experience in Retail
- Seven years of experience in Management
- Five years of experience in Management Consulting
